~ THE BINKS DOESN’T PRETEND to expertise in politics or economics, but watching the whole American bailout thing, it feels like we’re only the surface of things.. or, a blurry funhouse mirror– at a distance– version of the actual facts.
After deeper reading, I think it’s an American economic coup d’etat underway, with trillions of dollars flying about, countless players involved, any number of versions ‘what’s really going on’ in the media, yet nobody in obvious control.
To be fair to Obama (!), he’s a puppet or hoax or salesman in the midst of his and other people’s machinations. Soros, Wall Street, the internationalists seeking to weaken the United States and create a more centralized Canada-style economy, which can be more closely controlled. There’s a long line of possible usual suspects.
And there’s the rub– in the flurry of news and opinion and crisis and spending, it’s possible to make both something and nothing of the mess. Is there a pattern? What’s the rest of the story? Is it bumbling and schemes and opportunism all together? With so much money flying around, it’s hard to see anything in the storm of zeroes.

~ A MOST blessed, happy, and thankful Mother’s day to all them out there wot have mothers; and for all our foremothers back to the beginning of motherhoodnessidity. Thanks to our mothers for giving life, to Mother Mary for giving our Saviour, her son, life; and to Mother Church for giving us eternal life.
I remember particularly my Mother Susan-Jane, my Grandmothers Thelma & Jeanne; and my Great-grandmothers, two of whom were alive well into my childhood: Rose Bairos (née Yarashafskaya.. my father’s mother’s mother), and Marion Taylor (née Black.. my father’s father’s mother). Great Granny Bairos and I corresponded now and again and she remembered her grandkids in her will; Scots-Irish Great-Granny Taylor actually visited us in Canada once, sent along parcels of lovingly-made undersized knitwear, and over eight years or so, sent me old-style British boy’s comic books in the mail, in her very neat handwriting. ~

~ BACK WHEN I WAS AN Intel Chief in the Anglican Wars, I ran a couple of go-to websites for the Rest Of The News on those particular current affairs. Big hits, big work, lots of excitement. We were eventually hacked offline via two Episcopal Church sources– the head office, and a Left Coast Diocese. But I digress.
