~ SO THE ENGLISH Parliament, sometime plaything of kings and nobles and Calvinist rebels, but still the Mother of Western Democracy, has made law impossible things. Pseudogamous “marriage” for same-sex couples is law in the UK.

This is a crime against multiculturalism, of course, because Christians, Jews and Muslims officially oppose same-sexuality; and the line-up of sexual minorities behind the same-sex crowd– at least by the logic of rights uber alles– also deserve their slice of the legality/ benefits/ state-enforced & state-fundied sex-pie, and are starting to ask for same.

This is yet another moment in the long war of our conformitarian Western elites against reality, and The Real– ultimately, against God– and against civilization, many of her people, and the actual best interests of children and future generations. That war started with the invention of the cradle-to-grave benefits state, with easier divorce, abortion & the Pill, the sexual revolution, widespread pornography, delayed and serial monogamous marriage, wherein the sexual habits of sex-crazed bunnies permeated the Middle class.

Polyphobic Hate!

The rest of us have acted badly– how can we say “No?” to the same-sexers, polygamous, child-marryers, incesties, group marriagers, trangender who knows what.. It’s Not Fair. We have TV-shows to guide and soft-pedal the new moralities and societal narrative and acceptable thoughts.

So the United Kingdom– now not, in this and many other matters– has voted for unicorns, faeries, same-sex “marriage” and other fantastical things. No longer does a girl or boy have a natural and basic right to a biological mother and father– England hath declared it so. Like the horrible retroactive approval of all his enormities and adulteries called the Act of Supremacy, which Henry rammed though and then forced everyone to swear an oath or risk prison and/or confiscation of property and death– her is another monstrosity against liberty under law, against reality and God. Technically, since the Church of England is established by law and under the Queen, this is now the law of the Anglicans, too.

This is no liberation, but a great festering wound on the dying body of Western Civilization. We cannot make things so by will, no matter how hard we try. We can only make words, allowing some evils, and forcing other people to pretend that it’s all the same as other real things. Though it doesn’t have the drama, in truth, this is as great a blow and disaster to Western freedom as the Defeat at Dunkirk.

We fought two hot wars, a colds war, and lots of little wars in the past century against people trying to force lies and unreality on the masses by political and legal means.

Just Imagine If…

~ EVIL PEOPLE have skills and virtues gone wrong. Imagine if Hitler or Stalin or Mao had used their obvious gifts for good, for God, for the love of their neighbour?

In one limited sense, I admire Obama– he and his cronies are pretty skilled and expert at doing bad things, illegal things, sleazy and schemy things, covering it all up, and fooling people. What a waste. Perhaps, without the heady fuel of radical politics such folks would not aspire or work so hard for supreme power and control, true enough– but even those of us who muddle along largely anonymously trying to do some good in the neighbourhood & community where we live use our gifts for ordinary goodness where we are.

Without Ceasing

Any spiritual person who opposes Obama and his throng of minions, funders, and enablers should be praying for them. Great responsibilities and duties abused are great damnations underway– aside from the evils done on the ground, people hurt, abused, laws broken, terrible examples set, evil people encouraged, all the rest.

The worst thing– as with Clinton’s debasing or Bush’s militarizing– is the example it sets, and the future it helps create. True leadership is to try to lead, to avoid the pitfalls and future stupids that are often entirely foreseeable consequences, and to push through sometimes against profit, popularity, or the rewards of high office.

God grant America a better ruling class– sooner, rather than later– for like the Roman Empire, as goes America, so goes the world, and the world needs help and spinal-stiffening and rebuking of the uppity dangerous folks ASAP. We are citizens of this worldly city, seeking a better; members of mankind, though named in tribes and lands; each man is our brother, though he may try and behead us. Our doom is approaching, if we continue to drift.

My Shiny Clean Garbage

Well, you see, the friendly local county garbage sturmtruppen ask that you rise your garbage. That’s right, we must needs to thoroughly wash, rinse, or dishwasher some of our plastic.. garbage. Fut The Wuck?

Since the hamster that is Teh Brain Of Binks keeps rushing about connecting things, I immediately go back to the NICU in the hospital which had– even as the Binklings were on life support– started allowing abortion in the paediatric/ maternity hospital. THAT 30-month old baby shall be dismembered alive inside his mother in THAT room over there; while $10 000 dollar a day NICU-care, some of the very cutting edge of medical skill, medication, and techniques, shall be used to bring THIS 29-week baby in THIS room here to full infant health.

Slipping Through The Cracks

We have no abortion law in Canada, thanks to a morally insane & irresponsible 1988 Supreme Court ruling and years of Trudeaupianism in our bedrooms and wombs and minds. No law. Kill it 5 minutes before birth, if you want. But remember to wash your garbage, or it’s the Garbageman giving you the eye as a surveillance agent for the state, the dreaded pink stickers, orange stickers, left behind garbage, or the stern letter. We’ve never gotten father than the stern letter– perhaps they start dumping other people’s garbage on yours, and refuse (see what I did there?) to take yours or theirs away. Seagulls shall rejoice, with their raucous cries.

But I can’t forget those two babies, in two different rooms, one destined for a cradle at home, the other o be burnt as medical waste in the designated incinerator (which used to be a few hundred yards from my school, and ash used to rain down on us when the wind came from the No-Nor’-East. Very Schindler’s List.

Yes, I’ve whinged about this before, but the strange ways of the Demented Dominion ever strike me afresh as I labour to comprehend the madness: garbage-spies.. washing rubbish.. nothing will surprise me. What kind of mad world is this we are creating for your children?

Yay! We All Get To Share!

The evils of abortion are tolerated by so many for many reasons– but that it persists surely has something to do with the fact that it is hidden away. The 100 000 or so pre-born Canadian boys and girls who are slain by the state and at taxpayer’s expense each and every year perish invisibly to the public, so we can develop a kind of double-mindedness, always aware that we can use it if we need it, but half-despise it and forget about it when we don’t.

Rejoice in the modern state, which embraces evil, pays for it, and allows us all to be smeared with the blood thereof, because they pay for it via our taxes, in our tax-funded hospitals and other institutions, where every day other babies are struggling to be born, survive premature birth, or undergo medical care.

But at least my plastic recyclables are shiny and clean. ~

Thing is, even agnostics and atheists and radicals all still assume a Christian definition of religion: love your neighbour, do good, judge not, be nice, etc.– only, that’s not Islam, and never was. Of course there are nice people in Islam, and not every Muslim is dreaming of self-detonation. But if you got to the source, and remember that most of the “peaceful” Koranic verses have been “abrogated” (superseded by later aggressive/ violent verses, or apply only to Muslims and not infidels), you have a war-cult which seeks world domination by terror & the sword if necessary, but preferably by surrender (Islam= submission), and coughing up the slave tax.

Thus, well-meaning Westerners are puzzled, shocked, and twist themselves into knots of excuses for why one religion in particular seems kinda not like the others. Because Muhammed wasn’t Moses, Jesus, The Buddha, or anything like. And what he said that “Allah” said is the literal word of God, when in the original Arabic.

If Allah said (Koran 8:12) .. “I shall strike terror into the hearts of the disbelievers. Cut off their heads” and not “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, or even the minimalist “Do no harm”, you see that someone trying to obey God The Allah Way has rather different things to be about, to ponder, and to promote. Original & authentic Islam is not Christianity– apply, lather, rinse, repeat.

The horrible things in the news are supposedly God’s direct will. When some Muslim teenaged boy feels the spiritual awakening that is typical of many teens, and turns to his roots, he doesn’t find Kumbaya, or missionary work, or soup-kitchening, or Bible-reading and church Bible-studies. He finds Allah, beheading, the Koran, and the actual teaching of that religion according to Muslim consensus in the Middle East, Egyptian universities, and elsewhere. He finds pan-Islamism online, via YouTube, from many mosques & Imams and Muslim Youth groups, and conferences.. it’s a whole and embracing ideological identity and program.

It’s a horrible thing, but that’s reality. Terrified authorities repeating the lies about “The Religion of Peace”, lone wolves, dementia, thus achieving only and ever more abject degrees of self-deception, surrender, and denial. ~ FOR A SHOW MOSTLY ABOUT two brothers hunting evil, demons, vengeful ghosts and the end of the World, Supernatural has a wicked sense of humour, and attempts to get the facts right.. but the writers are tempted by the usual simplification and dramatic possibilities of sloppy theology & angelology. What, fail in your research department?

Oddly Enough

Hence, contrary to Christian teaching, demons are not discarnate rebel angels, but evil humans become forever early. Angels can possess people; have no sight of God’s face; are cranky semi-robotic human-disliking jerks who get bored and rebellious and partial to limited human wisdom and torture, versus the Will of God. Demons can apparently take over anybody at all.

As for God, the Almighty according to McG can not only re-incarnate (apparently they forgot about Jesus and the words of the most basic Christmas Carols) but he can get lost, and whatever else can happen to superhero-types, and he’s a jerk. And there’s not exactly much attention paid to heaven, but lots of imagery and talk of hell. Hell, like sex, sells I suppose.

On The Other Hand

Except: angels are actually a different kind of being; discarnate mind and will serving God and his world and people; God is not another thing in the catalogue of creatures, but the eternal unbegotten perfect infinite source of all things ever anywhere.. in Himself without body, parts, or passions as the old definition has it.

The God depicted in Supernatural is a sloppy if clever high school misunderstanding writ large. On the one hand, supernatural and legendary monsters and ghosties and long-legged beaasties and things that go bump in the night are all depicted in detail according to the usual canon. Sadly, director McG and the writers of Supernatural didn’t bother to talk to an orthodox or Orthodox member of the clergy or theologian (yes, such mythical creatures exist) to figure out God, nor lay out some reasonable boundaries of the heavenly side of the universe for their plotlines.

The Big Storyline

After all, speaking Biblically, there is 7000+ years of Biblical goodness and 4000 years of Hebrew faith and 2000 years of Christian thinking and living to help people understand the ways and nature of God. It’s what keeps Supernatural from being a truly great show with eternal verities, instead of a not-bad attempt to allow good and evil, God & the Devil, choice and consequence a place in TV and pop culture.

Coulda woulda shoulda been so much better. But there are still many redeeming points.

Latinities & Demon-Smiting

As in most stories of the horror genre, “Who Ya Gonna Call?” still tends not to be a liberal protestant, a new age or neo-pagan devotee, or a prof of comparative religion: nope, it’s holy water, Latin exorcism passages and rosaries and all things Catholic contra stark staring evil. Hate them or not, the Popisticals still hold as official doctrine all the old stuff about sin and death and hell and war in heaven and saints and relics and all that stuff– as do the eastern Orthodox.

On The Other Hand

However, Supernatural does remind us that people are either servants of God, or otherwise, but all have a place on the divine plan. What you do really matters, and if you won’t stand for goodness, truth, love, beauty, and God’s Kingdom, that choices and actions have eternal consequences.

It’s a curious contradiction that God’s things work, but God himself is a diminished presence in the show. It’s rather like our human souls: in desire of the goodies & prizes & blessings, but not the gift-giver himself. Thankless, rebellious, forgetful, sinful & confused.

Does Binks believe in all that stuff? Well, ghosts and demons, yes; God and angels, yes; an unseen world that permeates and impinges the seen at every place? An omnipotent, omnipresent, all-loving, omniscient God, Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and all that Creed stuff? Yes.

~ AS THE UPPITY NEGRO patriot Allen West fights the Obama machine in Florida (there is no dirty trick so dirty that the dirty tricksters will not try), the recent hyper-fraudulent Obama victory– where some areas report 140% returns, and a national 103% voter response– is a new high in low. And it’s all across the United States, if you look even a little under the shiny hopey glitter-slime.

It is despicable; it is a knife to the body politic and the future of America; it is a blatant dare and provocation to the American establishment and the ordinary voter: Obama is saying “I fuck* you all. Come and get me, if you dare!” It is the national TSA-moment, where everyone is going to get the nastiest strip-search possible, forever.

We’ve all known of the proverbial army of dead Democratic voters, the ballot-stuffing, the fakery of past elections across America over the last 50 years and more. Thing is, now everybody– including electoral observers from the EU– are getting it. The joke is not so funny any more; the theft of elections in critical times a life-and-death matter; and whether it’s the POTUS, his backers, or all of them combined, the buck stops at the Oval Office.. if he can tear himself away from Golf, ESPN, movie-nights, celebrity parties, or vacays to fancy places around the world with Moochelle and his band of happy carpet-baggers and grifters and utopian master-planners.

And all it takes is a few key regions in a few key states, let alone across the board monkey-business, to sway an election. Looks like that’s what happened.. makes you wonder about 2008, doesn’t it?

Dark Troubles Are Here

America is like a soul and body possessed by demonic evil after November 6th, 2012. Jesus said of some stubborn evil spirits that “Howbeit this kind goeth nor out but by prayer and fasting” [ Mt. 17:21 ]– we must be changed and ready & worthy inwardly, by God’s grace, to confront evil– unless we would fail, or become evil ourselves.

What To Do?

Consider the 2012 Election still on. Support Col. Allen West & other true American patriots in this time of Constitutional & electoral crisis. Impeach Obama now. Watergate him, for his many and various crimes. You may have to step over the RINO squishes who love power over truth and fairness and freedom, but they were never true friends of the American idea anyway, just big money and big politics pushing pawns around, and lying out of both sides of their mouths.

If your local or state votes seem even a little iffy, demand and require a proper judicial recount, until “We The People”– under God the true source of authority & the last word in the American republic– expose the stink; don’t shut up; spread the word, make sure the thieves running the radicalized Democrat Party know that This Shite* Will Not Stand.

Sad to say, but movie sound-tracks & special effects telegraphing “This Is The Crucial Moment” dull us to those actual real moments in the actual world– just like the evil characters are made obvious and clear. This is America’s moment of crisis– more than 1776, or 1812, or 1861, or 1919, or 1941 or 1991, or even 2001 & 9-11.

Calling All Heroes

Real heroes don’t come with capes and powers and exciting music– most heroes are people doing their best, their duty, their yeoman’s work, speaking truth and seeking virtue, and standing up in big and little ways as needed. Allen West? hero. Anybody willing to recognize the true character of their times and act on it with discernment and not counting the cost? Hero.

Them With Perfect Heads

A FaceBook friend recently chose bald, via razor. I wrote:

Welcome to the bald hair club for men. (1) Your scalp acclimatizes; (2) don’t use shaving cream, just wet your scalp down for a minute with warmish water in a facecloth, then Gillette Fusion away; (3) if it gets longish, cut it down with a shaver on ’0′, then soak as above & shave. (4) Shave in strips from front to back, then forwards against the grain to catch the strays.. try not to go over and over an area more than 3-4 times, or you get rashy. (5) If rashy, a little aloe vera handcream will do the trick, and less screamy than alcohol or aftershave. (7) Once your scalp gets toughened up, you can in fact get a super-smooth shave and not stubbly. Wear a hat in the Summer sun, since melanoma and scalp-burn isn’t as cool as baldness. (8) The vibrating Gillette Fusion is a little easier on the scalp. (9) Get spousal unit or friend to make sure you’ve not missed any patches.

There you are, and there you go. And as Teh Binks says, don’t forget to do bald in Winter, if you live in such climes: any old wimp can do it in Summer. ~

~ IN THE SPATE of apocalyptic TV & movies out there, only some of them get it right. Too many writers seem to think that (say) people surviving the end of electricity or a zombie plague would be doofing around like newbies months or years later. Sure, it makes for gore and screaming and drama, but really?

In the new show Revolution, one of the opening scenes after The Lights Go Out is a armoured & armed-to-the-teeth buncha militia toughs riding into a small hamlet of survivor-folks. Where to begin?

(1) No lookouts? Really? No dogs outside the walls or on the road? Not even some holy geeses, as in ancient Rome, to sound the warning of sneaky invaders? No traps, nothing? FAIL.

(2) The wooden gate, wide open. No smaller door, no moat, ditch, or even pointy sticks. FAIL.

(3) No apparent emergency plan, protected vantage points for firing arrows or guns, and when battle does break out, all the hamlet folks just run into the open. Bloody hilarity ensues. Heck, one archer protected from inside brick walls could take out 20 guys in a minute. FAIL.

Believe me, I could go on.. and that’s only 15 minutes into the pilot. #Facepalm.

The Walking Dead asks us to believe the same thing– that two cops, plus a baker’s dozen of other survivors would walk into every zombie encounter like it was the first time ever, and blunder about in a highway full of stranded cars wondering where to get supplies and gas.

People that clueless in reality won’t make it months or years. Period.

The Lights All Went Out

I’m not a survivalist type, but when the power went out here for four days a few years ago (ice-storm, and cold out), the She-Binks and I were ready, because we generally are.

BBQ, with propane. Airtight woodstove (not pellet-stove), with kindling, logs, and fire-lighting. Candles, flashlights, batteries. Car kept above half-tank, if not full. A stash of small bills, for buying (no credit or debit cards, right?). Water cooler, with 2 back-up tanks (though we really are thinking of a few of these tub-liner tanks). Weapons of many & various sorts for dangerous animals, however many legs.

No Cannibalisms!

Through the whole thing, the heat in the house never went below 63F or so.. we ate well (freezers had to be cleared out, unfortunately.. we’ve no generator yet), rose with the sun and didn’t stay up very late, gathered an elderly relative to our refuge, kept an eye on neighbours, and bought what we could at stores which were open for business.

It was exhausting. It was very very dark at night. The Binkses abided.

Survivor: Burb

Why? Because after an emergency comes, no amount of wishing will make you ready after the fact. During the big outage, I saw people at the local Gas Mart who were literally shocked that their plastic was not going to work, as if everything they’ve always taken for granted would always be so, even when a moment of paying logical attention would show them otherwise.

No, there is no honking big bunker loaded with years of food and firearms and all that heavy-duty survival stuff, because in time of trouble or serious breakdowns of society, I would rather bug IN (stay at home with others nearby) than bug OUT to some expensive hideaway, as the predominant U.S. survivalist mindset would have it. Why? because I’m a Hubby, and a Dad, and a sheepdog, and so bear care & responsibility towards my family, to my neighbours, and the wider community to be resonably prepared for emergencies. The government cannot replace my basic readiness needs, and people who live day to day with the assumption that someone else will make it all better even in minor situations like an extended blackout are in for needless surprise, pain, disappointment, stress and fear.

Am I huddling under a rock because of Mayans, asteroids, aliens, or the latest apocalyptic fears? No. Yet nobody should assume that the next decade and more in the West will be years of peace, plenty, and mindless careless same old same old. Sometimes the apocalypse is a small one, and you will have to choose to survive.

Free Advice, Worth Every Penny

A little preparedness will help you and yours; a little spent now will save trouble later; a little planning and imagining the worst (yet hoping for the best) will see you ready come storm or sunshine.

Everybody Who’d Like To Bear Up With The Coming Fiscal Tsunami: read Ferfal, and get his book, and pass the word. How 2 Gear Up Now

~ YOU NEED WATER, food, shelter, warmth, light, protection. You need to have your car ready to provide such things, and your home/ cottage too.

The general rule of having stuff is: one is none, and two is one. A single flashlight or knife or survival tool or lighter is next to zero– you lose it, and a crucial part of your kit and future is gone. Double up, and keep things in various places.

Details, Details

Food: most important for the long-term, though water is crucial for the shorter-term. There are MRE-style ready-meals; power bars; canned foods including vegetables, soups and stews; a woodstove or propane BBQ or camp stove can allow for cooking, boiling water, and sterilization of various items including cutlery, or surgical tools. Make sure to have salt, some kind of sugar, instant coffee & tea.

Water: filling your bathtub doesn’t work, except for providing “grey water” for dishes, toilet-flushing, laundry-tubs and the like. If you want to use the tub, buy a WaterBob or equivalent tank-liner, for a month of clean water for four people (sparingly used). For travel, water tablets or a filter-straw.

Lights: candles, lanterns (plus fuel), flashlights & lots of batteries. A Petzl-style headlamp is very useful for task-oriented work, and hands-free travel and walking around in the dark. You can sometimes get cheaper versions from dollar stores. Matches, firesteel, and other means of making flame is invaluable. Triple-up.

Shelter: house, cottage, portable tent, tarp, paracord & string & rope, learn how to make basic shelters out of branches and leaves and all that. Being out of the wind and cold and weather is important to surviving, and keeping your family or dependents safe. Lots of online resources here, and there may be local schools or weekend workshops you and your kids can enjoy. Again, lots of resources on the internets.

Warmth: Proper clothing, outdoor with polartec fleece & GoreTex Windstopper, the full kit. Multiple layers, flannel shirts, long underwear, hats. Rainproof clothing. A woodstove, solar heat collector, whetever you need to make cheap heat for your shelter or home.

Tools: a couple of multi-tools, portable wrench system, hammer/ hatchet. Small hatchet, wood-axe, folding saw/ pocket chainsaw. A Really Serious & Serviceable Working Knife.

Protection 1: We should all have a penknife, a rescue knife, a hunting knife, and machete – buy them now for each family member, as appropriate. A cane & walking stick, and baseball bat. A tomahawk or three. And backups. Learn how to cut & baton wood & kindling. Learn how to use a knife to protect yourself. Find a blade-nerd & online sites, and get wise.

Protection 2: Guns are tools, not toys. Learn to use one, buy a .22 rifle & .308 Remington rifle & a shotgun, and a small and larger handgun, as local law & certification allows. Gun safety is mostly common-sense, and you can learn to use a gun in a few days– weeks for real skill development. Find a gun-nerd, and gun-nerd sites online, and learn up.

Finally, & Conclusorially Speaking

This is only a starter-guide; not complete, nor the last word– some ideas culled from my own preparations. Heck, don’t take my word for it– watch gear-reviews via YouTube to build up your own sense of proper gear, and what’s right for you, and your sitch.

Preparedness is not only the gear, it’s a mindset, a take-care and provide attitude, a choice to be a sheepdog instead of a predating wolf, or a helpless sheep. ~

Our sometimes anarchic manners and morals, restless materialism, and absolute insistance on being ‘free, free, free’ would shame most of our own forebearers, let alone a newcomer from the cultural & religious 10th century. It’s a rarefied environment.

The moral and religious tide of Western societies go in and out.. and the results can be alarming to those who belong to the older tradition. Mind you, for Judaeo-Christianity, ‘getting back to basics’ comes via moral renewal, individual transformation, spiritual awakening, mass movements and accompanying political actions. For a Muslim immigrant ‘getting back to the basics’ means Koran, Jihad, Sharia, and the dirty family secret (as Muhammed taught) of murdering your kids/ family if they are tempted away from the faith– whether that’s by the spiritual rebirth of Christianity, or the siren-song of materialism, moral relativism, and dressing/ acting like a party girl.

Our Unintended Consequences

The simple fact is that no man– or society– is an Island. We can all think of people and ways of life to admire and inspire– and the opposite is true. For us to pretend that preventing and/ or ditching our unborn and replacing them with immigrants– some of whom will be profoundly confused and dislocated by what seems to us a normal way of life, is to misrepresent ourselves to them, and to pretend that our accumulated actions and choices make no difference, and our current way of life is perfect and everybody should immediatley like & understand it. That’s a form of Leftist self-congratulation, just like exporting Feminism, the pill, and busy-body NGOs to go and bring the new progressive way to the heathen darkies.

What is brightest and best in us is not merely sexual and moral “freedom”, but our first things– love of truth, of law and fairness, of justice, our art and higher culture, literature and music and so very much more. The Christians transformed Rome and Greece not because they cheered on paganism, but because they replaced the enticements of mere power and pleasure with a higher love found in Christ, the Son of God, and thus drawing attention away from all that degraded, exploited, or ruined souls.

Higher, Better, More Gooder

St. Paul put it clearly to the Christians in Philippi:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” [ Php. 4:8 ]

You can’t replace something with nothing. Asking immigrants to replace their spiritual lives with a secular vacuum doesn’t work.. or it works for a generation or so until folks start looking for roots & traditions.

We have hidden our Western glories under commercialism, an ever more crass pop culture, and a profound loss of confidence and understanding about who we are, and why. Now, the Google search-engine, Youtube, GMail, AdWords, and the many-tentacled mass of other Google products and sites will all be collecting data on you, personally. Via ComputerWorld:

If you don’t want your information from Gmail, YouTube and Google searches combined into one personal data store that can paint a detailed picture of you, the only option is to stop using Google’s services.”

Already Evilling

GoogleCorp is a corporation with inappropriate & cosy ties to the radical Obama administration; it has in the past helped with the Great Firewall of China (blocking traffic & content into & out of China); Google Earth data-catching was sweeping up passwords, private info, and illegal content; Google Corp has also been fined $500 million by the U.S. Government for criminal activity connected with the online drug market. That is, despite the founders’ motto “Don’t Be Evil”, the temptations of money, political power, and collaboration with repressive regimes has been a sweet, sweet opportunity for evil.

Now, it’s ‘No Opt Out’. Well, if you want to use their products, that is. All freedom-loving Netizens should respond by refusing to use Google (except via anonymizer websites like Scroogle), cancel Gmail (I’m moving over to Yahoo), use SRWare’s spyware-free Chrome-copy Iron browser instead of Chrome (yes, it supports Angry Birds), use Bing or any other engine for searches, and off-dump any browser or desktop-intrusive Google products for free substitutes available everywhere online. And yes, the snooping also includes the new Google+.

“But Binky,” you say, “you’re an international elf of mystery– we’re just using FaceBook and GMail and sending e-mails and browsing Amazon and eBay and kitten-picture sites. What’s the big?”

The big? One company not only wants to be your gateway to the web, but install itself all over your computer– and watch you. And that’s only what we know about, or what GoogleCorp haven’t been charged and convicted and fined for. Power used irresponsibly is a great evil, but even greater is the indifference to such evils, whether here or abroad. Like Van Rompuy the unelected Obergruppenfuhrer of the EU, or rogue-POTUS Mr. Teleprompter in the U.S., such absolute power is not a tool for freedom, or due process, nor does “trust us, we’re the good guys” relieve us of vigilance and responsibility for our generation, and generations to come.

In some Anglican parishes, I sometimes met old conservative folks who loved the non-radicalized Bok of Common Prayer, but who missed the point when they said “I just want it around long enough to get my funeral properly done.” Hmm. ‘Well, thanks’, I thought to myself, ‘and too darned bad for the rest of us, is it?’

Muzzling The World

Google or SOPA & PIPA or the even worse international ACTA treaty are part of the wars by national and world establishments not just to curb alleged ‘piracy’ (we need digital content licenses, NOW), but to curb the very unpredictable, fast, and democracy-enabling flow of ideas, information, commentary, and activism (the good sort) which the web enabled in the mid-1990s.

Slaving the web? “Put the genie back in the bottle, he’s messing up our masterplans and skewing the official narrative.” Don’t confuse our would-be masters with the facts.

Imagine if something like the internet had been around in the 1930s. No Hitler. Imagine what Obama or the EUcracy would be like if ther were no internet today– or one that only gave us games, advertisments, and highly santitized pre-web-style network “news” tidbits, with little right of swift fact-checking fisk-making responds and the rest of the story?

GoogleCorp stands over the digital world like Big Brother, and should toatalitarian times arrive, they’ve already cheerfully cooperated with repression and web-crippling in the past. What’s to stop them from going 1984 all over us and the world? Little or next to nothing, if everybody just shrugs.

Don’t use the GOOGLE search engine directly. Use Scroogle. Or Bing.com. Try anonymized search-engines.

Don’t use Chrome– use the free Firefox or SRWare Iron if you like Chrome features & functionality, but don’t want Google watching you. It even has an anonymous surf mode.

Uninstall all the Google desktop ‘Freeware’, and find online alternatives.

Get rid of Gmail, unless only for innocuous stuff, and use Yahoo, or onboard MS-Outlook, or FireFox/ Thunderbird e-mail clients on your computer. Online mail is easy, but it’s very hackable, and in the case of Google after March 1st, very trackable and snoopable.

You achieve legitimacy, since in normal situations, only legitimate causes get groups going– the rest of us write irate letters to politicians or newspapers.

Like-minded folks set up three or four or twenty more copy-groups. All of a sudden, you have all sorts of apparent ‘political push’.

In the case of the Muslim Brotherhood, you get people to start up CAIR, ISNA, MSA, and an alphabet-soup of loosely related groups all pushing in the same direction, with various degrees of friendly or political correctness or victim-spin.

Or in the case of U.S.-funded Eco-groups in Canada pushing against national oil policy, you do the same, and clog up the legitimate process because you think oil is evil and the “Tar Sands” are Mordor, and even pumping oil-money to dictatorships and theocracies is better than that.

Faking It Bigtime

This faux-loading is a way of subverting the democratic process– the Soviet Communists operating worldwide taught us all about how to create such front-groups (or do a take-over of existing groups), and inflate a false political perception of a mass-movement concealing subversive reality.

That, of course, is why David Horowitz’s highly irritating site Discover The Networks got so many Leftist people so mad so fast when it debuted in the U.S.– as a former radical, Horowitz knew the game, the usual suspects, and how it all connected.

Once you know the scam, it’s easy to spot. That’s what the radicals of all stripes hate.

Edumacationing

It’s much harder to get the populace and political class to see and recognize such fraud, and to boil down such groups as over-inflated unrepresentative ideological prybars for breaking other people’s stuff. If it ain’t fixed, break it.

This modus operandi has spread since the 1930s, and took on it’s own after the radicalizing 1960s. A handful of radicals can have an exponentially disproportionate influence on society, its’ insitutions, and on whole societies and nations.

Garbage in, garbage out. You can’t unsee video-evil, or pretend it has no effect on your thoughts, attitudes, and actions. If the Binklings decide to watch such things when they are older, that is within their adult freedom– but just because we can do something, doesn’t mean we should. We cancelled our cable a few months ago, because so much of what passes for popular fare is time-killing, ugly, or stupid.

If you like decent shows, then buy them online. Castle, NCIS, Chuck, Firefly, or even older and enduring TV classics. Yes life is ugly and often depraved– but there are two attitudes to respond to that fact. First, we can recall that truth, goodness, and morality exist, and recognize that all fall short of the standard, but that there is a right and wrong. Or second, we simply lower the bar, and say that all things, behaviours, beliefs are simply good and equal and kumbayah.

Are we good? Happy? Holy? What happens in Vegas decays inside you. ~

A few things: (1) Muslim teaching that women are giant sexual organs, and less than men originates with Mohammed. This is not Canadian law, or tradition. Thus, the swimming or mosque or other segregations which Muslimas engage in according to homeland custom or a sense of Muslim modesty? Moe uber alles over Canadian laws. Sharia law supreme.

(2) Why not offer this service at a Mosque basement? Hairdressers go to various senior’s homes all the time to lovelify the ladies– if Christ had taught that women were walking vaginas, surely the churches would figure something out.

(3) That said, how do we support Muslimas get a less slavish mindset? The salon took the wrong approach in closing during regular businees hours– how about doing such treatments during off-hours? Or closing on Sundays?

(4) Special accomodationism & privileges lend themselves to sharia submissionism. Just because these women want their heair pretty doesn’t mean they aren’t also supremacists. Canada doesn’t have separation of church & state– it’s a Christian country, founded as such. thus, even our secularists assume a lot in common with Christianity and Western Civ, because that’s where laws & freedoms and individual dignity comes from.

Global Warmism has the status of an apocalyptic secular faith for many politicians, scientists, eco-activists, and members of the public.

• WHAT– Is there actual global warming/ climate change? What sorts?
• WHY?– What are the possible causes? End results?
• THEREFORE– Can anything be done about it, or not?

How do we adjust our actions based on evidence, and properly peer-reviewed science? How do we integrate criticisms or alternate theories

What A Working Theory Is

Anthropogenic (human-caused) Global Warming (increase in the base temperature of the planet by degrees, due to increased amounts of atmospheric “pollutant” Carbon Dioxide) is a working theory some people have to explain observed climate change over the past few decades. Theories are working models based on evidence, and supported by models interpreting the data into a working theory of reality.

However, like the 1970s Ice Age Cometh scare, Global Warming– along with big-eco– have become centre-pieces of national and international policy, taxation, and societal change. This is often in spite of dissenting scientific theories by legitimate climate experts. Then the political games start, the politics of personal destruction, and the demonizing of those who dare question the new absolute scientific orthodoxy, and the vested interests promoting one theory over others. Plus the climate skeptics, whose doubts can take on the force of a final consensus.

You know, like medical experts “Knew” that excess acid and not bacterial infections caused peptic ulcers. Or any of these superseded theories which once ruled as the final word in their fields.

How I Roll

When I am pressured by government or eco-groups or the bandwagon-media to take one view of a phenomena like climate change, I smell a rat. Prove it. Account for discrepancies and contrary theories. Show me how the theory (and related proposed solutions) change to take account of new data. Don’t trash legitimate doubt, because to do so is bad science & ideology.

I like music, and bands. However, bandwagons are all well and good, but they are not necessarily right and good and true. Let the unrestricted debate be over theories, AND facts, however ‘inconvenient’.

Jumping To Conclusions

Further debt-burdening already cash-strapped and debt-ridden nations with expensive and/ or industry & economy killing taxes and requirements? Spending loads of taxes on inflammable electric cars, bird-killing wind-turbines, pricey solar energy schemes? Seems like a mix of good will and scammery, especially with untested new technology. To redirect science & technology in one direction, leading to the forbidding, say, of ye olde incandescent light-bulbs (and in favour of a polluting monopoly by a sleazy Military-Indistrial Complex corporation like General Electric?? Shutting down oil & gas exploration throughout the U.S. and offshore, and then saying we’re facing the end of oil?

You get the picture. Bad business, bad science, bad technology, bad politics– and a stupid and blind way to do things.

Chicken Littleism is a poor way to run a farm, let alone a planet. ~

~ TEH BINKS LOVES many aspects of the Eastern Roman Empire: Byzantium, The Eastern Orthodox Church, and the fact that the Byzantines held back the hateful tide of ruination, murder, destruction and Jihad from swamping Eastern Europe in the AD 600s and after.
