M-446 — January 30, 2008 — Mr. Martin (Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca) — That, in the opinion of the House, subsection 13(1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act should be deleted from the Act.
The Section in Question:
13. (1) It is a discriminatory practice for a person or a group of persons acting in concert to communicate telephonically or to cause to be so communicated, repeatedly, in whole or in part by means of the facilities of a telecommunication undertaking within the legislative authority of Parliament, any matter that is likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt by reason of the fact that that person or those persons are identifiable on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.

For the record, this WebElf is a former Student-Radio news-jockey. And in case the caca-poopoo insult-squads of university-snobs are out there looking to diss the Binks, it’s an IQ of 140ish, and a GPA of 4.0, a double-major (with honours, and a medal), a post-grad degree, and lots of offers (not taken) for doctoral studies. So? So what, exactly?
Credentials do not prevent anybody from being a flaming asshat, a groupthinking anti-FreeSpeecher, a dhimmi dummy, or the kind of classless git who mocks someone like The Steyn– a brilliant author, writer, and speaker who has jumped over and past the academic cesspools of the modern university and still come out thrice-wiser, insightful, and more notable than a Fisk, a Kinsella, or any other of the neener-neener NEEENERs and their one-thought fits all or else zombie-throng. With cojones to spare.
