The Speaker: Muneeza Sheikh obtained her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and has a Honours B.A. from York University in Sociology and Labour Studies. During her second year at Osgoode, Muneeza was involved in the Criminal Intensive Program at the Scarborough Crown Attorney’s Office and was actively involved with the Equality committee. She is also part of the youth Chapter at the Canadian Islamic Congress and works with the organization to help dispel myths and stereotypes about the Islamic community. She is also involved with the Aurat Foundation in Toronto which works with South Asian women, helping them to apply their education and work experience here in to Canada. Muneeza is also a make-up artist who has been actively involved as a volunteer with the MAC Aids Fund and Fashion Cares, and she enjoys freelancing during her free time.
