Re: the SDA/FFoF posts today… focus on the main cases, win those arguments and other abusers will fall like dominoes as the HRC’s are reigned in. Knee-jerk reactions often end up as a pain in the balls, and that’s where we’re at this morning. More at TDB.
Disputing the authority of the commissions is one important tactic in the war against the enemies of editors’ and publishers’ press freedoms. However, in order to see that it’s surely not the only “viable option,” one can imagine that tactic’s failure and consider whether all possible tactics would then be exhausted or whether others would remain. The ninth sura of the Quran extends to devout muslims an impressive array of tactics for oppressing unbelievers. Did some god really forbid every one of these tactics, under every circumstance, to unbelievers seeking to protect their liberties?
