Rewind, Again

The worst thing about the coming Geert Wilders film / Motoons/ Jihad / car-torching riots is that we’ve been here, done that. They’re about as spontaneous as a clock striking the hour.

Sadly, that’s not the point: this is classic bully-growling– “I’ll see YOU after school!” Voila: victim living in terror the rest of the school-day, beating or not. We’re being conditioned to cringe; to self-silence; to imagine the worst and try to avoid it; for our chattering classes to say, almost en masse “Shhhh! He’ll hear us!!”

Binks & Co. — Just Like Hercules?

Except for the muscles and far-travel and legendary stories. We all remember that the fifth task of Hercules was to clean the Augean stables, where thousands of cattle were housed, in a single day. Mmmm.. manure-y!

Well, mucking out the barn is the work of many a blogger, including the Binks. Not one giant barn in a day, but thousands of barns, over months and years.

But, it’s remarkable what you uncover in raking the cow-pies. Here at FreeMarkSteyn, thanks to all the talented work of our co-bloggers, we’ve learned about the Toronto Harems; the rising tide of Jihadist Shari’a law; the Leftist-Jihadist connection; the abusive antics of Warman-Kinsella & Co.; the bankruptcy of the anti-freespeech ‘progressives’; the fact that Canada is not an innocent or uninvolved bystander in the world-wide religious war now underway; that big chunks of our media and governors are ostriches surrendering to Jihad; that our fundamental freedoms of speech, religion, association, thought, privacy exist at the whim of lawyers, judges, and unelected tribunalists; that Imams and sock-puppets can fold faster than a deck of cards– and that there are a brave minority willing to stand and speak and do the right thing, no matter what. And on it goes.
