~ ABSOLUTELY TRUE FEMINIST doctrine for the right-thinkers teaches that there is a terrible, horrible, really bad Pay Gap between what men and women are paid over a lifetime, and therefore, in every job, and every wage or salary.

No, I’m not claiming that, 2nd & 3rd Wave Feminits are.

70% less total lifetime earnings? Bad! Must be sexism. Do remember to listen & believe what you are told. Questions might be triggering, and sexist.

There are four parts to detonating this claim.

(1) Equal Pay is NOT the same as Lifetime Earnings.

A woman not earning the same total amount over her whole working life may well be paid the same as a man in an equivalent position– but most women work fewer hours, take weekends, holidays, sick days, and family days off. Not to mention maternity leave, ‘Flex-Time’, and sick kid days. Women’s career-tracks & lifetime hours worked are not identical to their male peers in the same positions.

(2) Shockingly, not all jobs PAY the same.

Further, men and women tend to choose different careers, many of which have less pay. Men often choose higher-paying jobs, push for promotions, raises, and are more ambitious– even if they don’t actually like the career. Not every job is the same, nor do all jobs require the same amount of education, effort, expertise, and specialization.

(3) Most people in the same job are USUALLY paid equally.

Looking past the propaganda, in 2016 some women in starting positions will make more than their starting out male counterparts. Paying women 70% as men for identical work is illegal, and– if it were legal– would mean men couldn’t get many jobs, with women as a discount work-force.

But the biggest factor, all other things (and pay) being equal?

(4) Men actually tend to WORK LONGER hours.

One Australian work-study found men worked on average 8.5 hours more than women, per week.* Just a couple of hours a day, and the odd Saturday. Other studies pegged the weekly overtime at about 5.5 hours for men.

Hold onto your hats.. this ‘work longer’ thing is like the exploding value of compound interest. And remember– Binks has Math Dyslexia (on top of a little of the usual kind), so the following is trebly impressive.

By The Numbers

8.5 overtime hours a week. That’s a whopping 10.5 weeks, or 442+ hours of male overtime work per year (or 55.2 x 8 hour overtime workdays/ year).

Such overtime over 10 years? 4420+ hours over a decade (552 x 8 hour overtime workdays/ decade). That’s a crap-ton of overtime– an extra year and a half overtime over a decade (presuming 364 day work-years).

Over a career? The average man will work 17680+ overtime hours, or a full 2210 overtime workdays over 40 years (that’s 6.07 full YEARS— with no weekends or vaycays– of overtime @ 8 hours a day).

The overtime is on top of the 40 hours weekly for 40 years, whatever that is.. lessee.. 2080 regular work-hours/ year, 20800 hours per decade, and 83200 working hours in 40 years.. + the 17680+ overtime = the average man works 100880 total hours (regular + overtime) in a career, versus women working 83200 total hours in a career). Ruh-roh!….

Cheer Up, It Gets Worse!

All of this does not include the hours of unpaid overtime that many modern employers are squeezing out of some employees; nor the hideous job-markets and increase in shrunken work hours ‘part-time’ positions with no benefits, pension, or time off. Oh yes, it’s a paradise out there.

Could be much worse.. as one person has commented:

“Look at Japan and the “salaryman” attitude. At work 7 days a week for well over 12hrs a day, usually back around midnight, maybe half of Sunday to see your kids, 2 weeks holiday a year but if you ever took them you would be fired.”

Free & Simple Answers

What is to be done? The present situation cannot continue! Justice! Equalism!

When it comes to winning equal earnings for men and women, no matter what choices or factors or circumstances, the answers are clear. We must obey the feminist logic that men and women must earn exactly the same in their lifetimes of working (presuming we don’t pay the same wages for a paperboy as a brain surgeon).

First of all, in the name of true equality, all women must be forced to work as many regular and overtime hours as men do, and in identical kinds of jobs. No more family time or maternity-leave with that 8.5 hours of overtime a week on top of the usual 40: whiny sick kids must look after themselves.

Nextly, all women will be required by law to take years and years of extra education & special training for more high pressure & higher paying jobs (plus, be forced to take up more dangerous and physically risky careers, to help equally bear the burden of the 90%+ of workplace fatalities happening to men). There’s simply no choice in the matter, I’m afraid.

All must be sacrificed unto mammon, so true earnings-equality can be attained! Men and women must work the same way in the same fields for the same amount of time and thus earn the same! * In case someone thinks this is exaggeration, I’m actually low-balling the overtime hours a little. It’s more like +10 hrs/ week in some cases. Even if we went with 5hrs/ week, the overtime amount is still yuge, as the math proves.
