Of course, Canada did much the same in releasing one of the Sikh rat-bastard conspirators, Inderjit Singh Reyat, who helped to blow up Air India Flight 182. “In all, 329 people perished, among them 280 Canadians and 22 Indian nationals.” He served 5 years. That’s 5.5 days per death, according to the dysfunctional injustice theories of our Trudeaupian injustice system. That and the endless silly-buggery of the trial and the inquest into same: a fine example of liberal hate and injustice in action. Whole families wiped out, for Sikh snits over past Indian injustices against them, real or imagined.

That would all be part of the delightful Canucki multi-culti quilt, right? Bringing unique hates and feud to a new country, and not only using this country as a basis for funding the battle back home, but bringing the fights here.

Not to be totally hateful and Albanophile, but most Scots came to the new world and made something of it and themselves, even if they started out with nothing, and tangled North American forest to start with. Had they come here and simply continued Jacobite wars and hate, they would be rightly regarded as idiotic, and wasting their time. They would also have gone to jail. Names? Simon Fraser. Samuel Cunard. Sir John A. MacDonald, David Mackenzie, Sanford Fleming, George Simpson, John Buchan, Lord Dalhousie… and that’s just few big names, not to mention the many more ordinary hard-working Scottish folk who found a new start in Canada.

That’s where we betray our new Canadians with the bigotry of low expectations. We allow them to act as if there was no better way to be than as they are. That, in turn, is because officialdom has lost the courage of any convictions except this: that Western civilization sucks, and all others are better than ours. Even when our country is not rife with civil unrest, factional feuds, violent governments, and vile customs and traditions.

Thus, the reasonable and peaceable parts of the immigrant community are held hostage in both directions, by gutless officialdom, and the extremists in their own community. Unwilling to condemn the condemnable, we end up condemning others, and weakening Canadian society as a whole, by making factionalism and tribalism the norm, not something bad. Lowest common Canadianism, indeed.

Bink’s own ancestry is Scots, English, Dutch-German, Moldovan, Portuguese, and other odds and sods. All old Europeans, come to North America between the 1750s up to the 1950’s for a new start in a new land. Old & new blood, immigrants all, and I’m proud of the nations they built and handed on to give their descendants a better future, not a place to exploit, hate, and take for granted– either by official political correctness, or ungrateful immigrants. ~

Huzzah For Coulter!

~ I CONFESS THAT I took soft-con warnings on Ann Coulter without knowing much about her. She’s mean, too much, sharp-tongued, etc., so on and so forth.

Then I read here’ Treason’ [Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism, 2004] at Binks-Dads lair, and found her foot-note stuffed book was clever, concise, detailed, and factually fair. Actually, I’m even a bit of a fan, now, though I’ve not read any other books yet. Maybe it was her best, and the rest fall short, but still.

Sometimes, as a Canadian, I can be instinctively over-fairminded, a wimpi-con, a Frumite waffler taking time to shoot in both directions in the political wars of the West. I’m not advocating teh crazy, but at least standing for what we claim to stand for, and being willing to speak out and take a few lumps for the same.

We’ve been convinced by Trudeaupianism that the main Canadian virtues are niceness, and docility, and an endless ability to apologize for evil. Nonsense. That’s sheepish socialism speaking, and not the virtues that built the nation, or which can keep her going and growing. True, as heirs all of Scots attitude of inward pride, and an economy with words, we don’t blatt and cheer ourselves endlessly, but ask people elsewhere how Canadians are distinct, and they will be able to answer more clearly than the CBC would have it. Canuckis? Tough.. fair-minded.. funny.. generous.. determined.. ironical.. not enamoured of stuffed shirts.. leaving things better than we found them. That’s hardly the same as jelly-spined multicultism and pc self-hate.

So huzzah for Ann Coulter, who reminds us that we need to learn and relearn and pass on the facts, un-leftified thought and history, and be willing to insist on them, because lives and souls and whole nations hang in the balance. A nation can die without noticing the fact, until it is too late, because a nation is first and foremost a complex set of agreed-upon principles and social agreements, extended in time and space. When people stop believing in the idea that was and should be Canada, she is wounded, and we are all threatened. Ideas matter, because upon them is founded what is built up around us and within us.

There are worse things than having people dislike you or your opinions, and to call you names– like dying the death of a thousand cuts which is the due of every coward. Certain Lefty members of my own immediate and extended family have tolerantly insisted that I’m a hatemonger, racist, extremist, and a whole long list of unpleasantries– and felt it their duty and business to so inform me. Not counter my concerns and arguments with their own, but with name-calling.

How typical, and how tolerant. ~

Bang Bang!

~ AS WE ALL KNOW, guns kill people, and people with guns kill people, and bullets kill guns, and yada yada. Mind you, when I was in the U.S. last month, shooting with a sweet Kimber .45, a .22 rifle, and a pump-action shotgun (no major FAC/ gun-training/ police list, thanks, just the shooting I did as a kid with the Binks-Dad), and the kids learning the .22, all I saw was well-trained folk carefully using guns for sport and self-defence– whole families, even. Tiny kinder-.22s up to AR-15s and .357 magnums (too loud, thanks).

Given the way Canadian gun-haters talk about it, the U.S. should have been a wild-west shootout. Not so much.

Now my kids know gun-drill, safety, proper shooting, trigger discipline, and actually hitting a target. The gun has been demystified, it’s no longer a scary dangerous bad thing, but a tool only for certain purposes– including self/ home-defence.

Otherwise, my boys might be like so many young Canadians, who know almost nothing about guns. Then they might be like the feminized and terrorized men who abandoned their women class-mates of the École Polytechnique de Montréal to the tender mercies of the murderer Gharbi and his little.22.

Taken simply, guns are part of the panoply of freedom, along with free speech, representative democracy, and the peaceful aspects of society and civilization. They are the stop-gap against crime, and tyranny, and a tool for hunting and self-sufficiency– and that’s why radicals always seek to take guns away from law-abiding citizens, or severely complicate their ownership and use. Government must have only dependent children in utopia.

Even if you choose not to own one, take lessons, go to a gun-range, and learn about guns, and consider why they are part of your freedom, and not simply scary-bad danger things to be left in the hands of police, army, and criminals, instead of law-abiding citizens.

Maybe it’s time to get a few guns into this house. ~

~ SURE I LIKE THE ‘romantic’ view of pirates.. not the whole rapine, murder, jolly rogering, and sea-going gangland thing so much. Strictly speaking, I guess Binky is more like a Privateer than a proper outlaw: honourable, nobel, good, but dangerous to foes and fools.

Sadly, it is apparent that the Obama Administration is nothing other and different than a massive coordinated pirate raid on the American government and people by the creeps, criminals, and corruptocrats of the Democrat and Republican collaborators. They need prison, not plunder; and shame, not credit for what they are doing.

Mid-level evil and theft by Pelosi and Co. has been going on for decades (check Pelosi & StarKist tuna gig via Google), and it’s part of every government, and human nature. What’s new is that the POTUS is a professional shyster and plunder expert via ACORN and his Ayer time in Chi-Town education scamming. What’s also new is that the pirates of the congress, senate, and wider government have grown bolder, and can’t be bothered to ever pretend to secrecy or wink-wink straight faces while looting the public and stuffing their own pockets.

Someone like Mass-Dem Barney Frank is leading the entitled & invulnerable pack, and laughing in American’s face. His fingerprints are everywhere, and on every democrat-caused disaster from Fannie Mae & the Mortgage crisis, to the Stimulapalooza, and pushing for the Pirate Lord Obama as POTUS. Never missing a chance to profit and do what he wills, Frank is cause, symptom, and exemplar of the rot in DC, and the cynicism and/ or idiocy of Massachusetts voters. Mind you, they elected generations of the Kennedy Crime family to local, state, and federal office, so it’s in the tradition.

Ultimately, the full tale of this pirate adventure will be told; what remains to be seen is if there are enough awake voters with spine and elected representatives with relatively untarnished hands to reform and renew the zombie/ pirate culture of the American ruling classes, and put the mutinous and piratical Obama, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, ACORN bosses, and all the rest where they belong: in a pauper’s prison, after complete public exposé and proper indictments. Take names, kick ass, ignore party affiliation, let the chips fall where they may. Yes, it may mean time, money, less hours in front of the flatscreen– but that’s a feature, not a bug.

And to quote the noted cultural philosopher Michael Jackson, “It don’t matter if you’re black or white”. Race-carding scumbags like Obama and Conyers and company get no free pass merely because they aren’t honkies, or because their ancestors were enslaved. In fact, such characters give aspiring Americans of all colours a bad name for using their new privileges to engage in such open criminality, special rules, and abuse of power.

Is this really what your slain secular saint MLKing, Jr. had a dream about: that black politicians might one day be just as despicable and greedy as whites? Really?!? What would abolitionist figures like Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) have to say about these shameful antics?

Pirates of the Caribbean is a Disney fun-ride, become a not-bad set of movies– yet not any way to run a nation.

~ NOT TO INSULT MY BOOMER READERS (heck, Teh Binks was born in the last possible year of that group, so am technically one), but when you look at some of what’s happening with debt in North America, it’s a nasty generational thing. Maybe a war, even.

The Most Self-Important Generation Ever, those wondrous post-war emperors and empresses, are entitled. Utter freedom with no consequences; every pleasure, forbidden or not; every goodie, privilege, no expense spared, best health care ever, richest safest most entertained and comfortable society in all of human history– why, it’s not the result of thousands of years of suffering and effort and making a better world for the next generation, it’s all about giving the greatest people ever the treatment they deserve!

How else can you explain all the U.S. great-grandfathering of impossible debt with imaginary dollars against future generations? TARP, CAP-N-Trade, Monster Budgets, Socialist Health Care? It’s economic violence and rapine on a generational scale.

A lot of spoiled Boomers have tried to remake reality into their own image– so ruining the church, working hard to disassemble the family, education, gender & parenthood, freedom, and the viability of Western Civ itself, all because they are entitled, so smart, and simply amazing. Consequences be darned– we’re the best that ever was!

So Boomer Barack, Boomer Dubya, Boomer Clinton, Boomer Blair, have helped their fellow generational cohort to suck the marrow out of the built up civilizational moral, spiritual, and material capital received from our forefathers as if there was no yesterday nor any tomorrow, leaving a desert in their wake for others to clean up and rebuild. Wasn’t that a party?

After all, “What tomorrow?” Once the 45-64 year old Boomers pass– having drained social security, pensions, health care, and left the wreckage behind them– sub-Boomers hardly deserve to be worried about, do they? Indeed, Western Boomers also prevented and aborted the largest number of babies ever, in part to enhance ther personal and material comfort. Millions dead, for the higher purpose.

We’ve all been in a giant generation-war with a Boomer-wave of over-indulged narcissists for years now– and as they age, we’re getting the regurgitation of their youth-culture yet again. I liked the 60’s and 70s and 80s.. but endlessly remaking all the TV and movies and music? Gack! Have the rising generations since the mid-sixties NOTHING unique or interesting to say of their own? Will nobody except Boomers and their younger Mini-Me clones have a say in politics and the media and pop-culture?

What’s also interesting is that the battle in the U.S. is now increasingly between Boomers and Boomers, as Boomers Dubya and Obama wiped out a lot of nest eggs, and current Dem schemes will be taxing and stealing from everybody in sight– Boomers as well as future generations. Not so pleasant when the theft hits home today, huh?

It’s not too late, O fellow Boomers. I’ve devoted much of my adult life to giving back from what I’ve received, and building up and passing on and trying to leave things better than I found them. Perhaps in our remaining years, we can turn again to rebuild and restore some of what we’ve selfishly consumed and laid waste to, realizing that we are not kings and queens, but ordinary mortals with an accountability to the past, present, and future, above and beyond our precious self-esteem and pleasures and inwardness, and our earthly comforts and treasures.

– ITEM: Obama’s Enemies List Grows – The targeting of perceived political enemies by the Obama Administration has grown from mere individuals to entire groups

~ WHETHER we get lined up against the wall one day, we must be ladies and gentlemen; people of principle; recognizing the humanity of our enemies, and praying for them even as we die.

For some liberals– like David Letterman– conservatives and those on the unofficial enemies list of the Obama Regime are less than human; they are outside the group; not of our kind. You see, progressives are still just as racist and intolerant as they were when the old-time Southern democrats voted and prevaricated in favour of slavery, and against black human rights. Now, however, it’ their ideological and political enemies who get the special treatment as unclean, cootified, less than human.

The unending hatred and nostalgic longing for the full Bush Derangement Syndrome is hard to watch amongst the usual suspects– especially now that their messianic golden boy is tarnishing and revealing some cheap welds and tin parts and shoddy workmanship. But Palin, Cheney, Rush, bitter Bible-hugging gun-clingers, or the updated list from the Central Committee are all fair topics for the most vile, peurile, stupid attacks– which reflect far more badly on the people attacking than those so attacked.

I Don’t Blame Obama

I don’t blame Obama. I blame TV. I blame human nature; I blame 50 years of increasingly bad and fascistical American ‘education’; I blame feminism and male cowardice. I blame the Presidents and most world ‘leaders’ since Reagan. This particular moment, this soul-sick nastiness is a snapshot of part of the American spirit allowed to go rotten for long years. Obama is the living spirit of the age, an empty house through whom the winds blow, bearing trash and dust and flies. A former cutting-edge cultural bellwether guy, Letterman has become a sad little puppet of a petty, smelly little orthodoxy now entrenching in the American political and cultural classes.

Our Tories were diligent, lacklustre, but not socially conservative sorts. No messy push-back against the onwards-lefting status quo for them!

The Ndippers here will boost the Unions, more pro-abortionism, HRCism safe; same-sex rights program; fiddle with social engineering, play with the debt, and not act too weirdly too quickly for fear of raising the ire of a still-moderate electorate: this was partly a protest-vote against a 10 year conservative run. If the NDippers get a second term, or (heaven forfend) increase their take of the votes, then I’d start to wonder.

As I Googled about on the man, I found some controversy or other about a London luxury pad he shared with a young man. Said young man and his connections go all the way to Joey “Plugs” Biden. Indeed, it may well be that offshore monies were poured into the Obama Campaign 2008.

You remember.. Obama raised absolutely unprecedentedly large amounts of loot ($450M, $200M unverified sources) via the interwebs, and all sorts of untraceable alleged sources, outspending McCain in some venues by 10 to 1 or more. We don’t expect to see a campaign donation review any time soon to make sure all the donated money was legit, and with no implicit strings attached– but after all, the Saudis have been openly buying American universities and DC influence for years– why not someone like Sheikh Khaled Bin Mahfouz help along a friendly president from sources which may also donate to Al Qaeda, Hamas, and all sorts of other hateful terrorist sorts? Spread the love around, eh?

Lots of people are for sale in this life– the Saudis are prudentially throwing their weight around to protect their interests, and promote their intense version of Islam. This blogger and my sites are not for sale, but DC, and even the Oval Office are clearly under the influence of a lot of offshore money, advice and expectations of a return for their investment.

So I have no idea if the links and info/ allegations via conaffredux.blog are worthwhile, or not– but surely such connections are not unimaginable, and we would do well to make sure– with attention and research to the possibilities– that our politicians are not bought and paid for, nor beholden to interests other than those they were elected and have sworn to upbold: namely, the freedom and well-being of their people and nation.

Given everything we’ve seen from Mr. B. Hussein O. in the past few months, it’s clear that Arabs and Palestinians have benefited from Obama’s Presidency thusfar in his unprecedented and irresponsible approach to the Middle East, sometimes in clear opposition to American security interests and commitments.

After all, the Clintons were clearly partly bought by the Chinese Regime; so who owns pieces of Mr. Obama, via all those helpful donations? ~

~ FEELING LIKE you’re in the right is a pretty important human trait: even if you’re a rebel, you need something ‘establishment’ to rebel against. Even more important for most people to know what’s right and wrong, and how to live it, and be found righteous.

As I’ve said before, Islam officially allows no secularity– only, perhaps, a relaxed versus rigorist form– all the more intense when Saudi Wahabbism becomes the default for much of Islam. Liberals like Tarek Fatah and others are Westerners first, Muslims second if they allow a proper sphere for secularity, versus the practices and laws of the faith. The sacred is the big sphere, within which the smaller sphere of the secular (under God) has its own rules, laws, and practices. Bishops don’t make or enforce laws; kings aren’t supposed to command churches (contra Henry VIII). This is a Christian distinction, worked out in the European Middle Ages in the battles of crown and church.

Mohammed never made such distinctions. There is the converted world, the unconverted world, and the proper job of the Muslim is to work, fight,pay, and pray for the day when Islam rules supreme, when mullahs and ayatollahs and sultans hold sway over the peoples of the earth, ruling them by Allah’s direct will, law, and perfect word (in the Koran). The sacred is the political.

Thus for many Muslim immigrants to the West, and for ‘reverts’ or secularly-minded children and grandchildren of same who are converted to some stripe of activist Wahhabism, there are no legitimate national, state/ province or local laws. It’s the Koran, and then the temporary infidel laws which shall be swept away when Islam is supreme. So the previous 4000 years of civilization and architecture and thought and faith and justice is one big horrible detour, said Islam’s prophet. All of it: useless wrong-headed crap. The Pyramids and Egyptian monuments; Rome; the Parthenon and other Seven Wonders; all the works of Greek Drama and sculpture; Roman law and building; all that wasteful church-building.

When you think about it that way, Muhammed’s claims are far more outrageous and unlikely than those of Jesus, who said “I come not to abolish the law, but to perfect it”; and “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and unto God that which is God’s.” That is, Jesus recognized fulfilment and continuity on the one hand, and the legitimacy of earthly authority and law on the other. That’s why most Christians chose true witnessing (martyrdom) and not terrorism when threatened with death; and when not so persecuted, living another kind of life in the midst of the world: pilgrims, redeemers, servants of God and neighbour. In Rome, the saints rescued abandoned babies, cared for the sick and dying of all classes, gave for the needs of other churches and regions, and quietly went about their business passing on the faith.

Fundamentally, two principles lay behind this– first, that God’s providing and mighty hand was over all things, and bringing good out of evils, even rotten Roman Emperors and suchlike; and that God’s goodness and grace perfects nature, it does not erase and abolish and destroy it. So when Claudia is converted and baptised, she is more the Claudia than ever, having drawn into sharing the life of her God, and her fellow Christians. She must put aside sin and pagan practices, but that is– from the Christin view– to put things right side up, and to cooperate with God’s will in his remaking us and the world.

In continuing to obey the laws of Rome or local bylaws, she acknowledges a higher power behind the earthly lawgivers, who desires peace, and good things versus chaos and suffering.

Fundamentally, even when our elites are non-religious, the world we live in still operates by Judeo-Christian and classical principles: our laws, our customs and traditions, our thought– it’s the air we breathe, even if we take it all for granted. It’s part of what attracts and repels Muslim immigrants: life in the West is peaceful and rich, seen from the outside via repression and poverty.. but then from the inside, it can seem lawless, lax, chaotic and threatening to the inner life of the faithful.

We’re faced with two competing absolutisms in our era: the absolutism of the all-embracing state, versus the absolutism of the sharia jihadists. Funnily enough, that’s partly what the current Pope was saying in Regensburg before the Papal riots began over his quoting a beleaguered late-Byzantine Emperor who could see little of a constructive nature in the religion of Islam. Soft-Fascist Secularity and Supremacist Jihad are squaring up for a death-match– other religious types need not apply– and both have the character of anti-Christ in that they reject Christianity and Judaism, and Western civilization as it has grown and been lived and redeemed in Jesus over 2000 years.

This is the ‘big picture’ of out times, of which the little and medium-sized conflicts are the skirmishes and engagements in the wider war. ~

Americans are being attacked by their ruling elites. Will we see a civil war? A new Federal compact? States opting out? Will Obama rule for a few years only, or take a crown and use his ACORN and offshore money to buy another election or two?
