~ SO OKAY, MINIONS: I’m officially furious. And just when you’d want an adult in charge in the Oval Office, too.
We are all– like it or not– now official combatants in the international Jihad against free speech, Christianity and Judaism, and Western Civilization. The U.N.– created in part to prevent war and avoid another Holocaust– has been co-opted by useful idiots, cowards, bureaucrats, fools, scoundrels, and time-servers. As we’ve seen since the late 1940’s, the U.N. has become the slave of ideology; an ever-growing horde of ugly little countries, dictators, and Islamists; anti-semites and anti-democrats, pro-baby-aborters, enviro-wackos, and busy-body liberals.
Unless we really start the push-back, we’re screwed. This is no longer about Steyn, Wilders, Levant, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, or Theo Van Gogh. We’re all in the cross-hairs, now.
No criticism of Islam or Muslims? That means you’d better be enthused, or you’re probably secretly Islamophobic. Your Local mosque or Muslim Brotherhood front wants special textbooks, rules and accommodation at school, pools, work, taxis, in the newspaper, wherever? No criticism or opposition of sharia law, since that’s Islamic Law.
This U.N. outrage establishes Islamic law as an principle of international law. National law may or may not follow immediately, but it puts even more pressure on non-Muslim minorities in Islamic countries, and could further complicate the lives of Western Europeans already under the gun to accommodate sharia, Islamic no-go zones, and Islamic supremacism.
The U.N. Human Rights Council needs to rescind this vote immediately.
The nations of the West need to make it clear to the U.N. that this is not acceptable.
We need to name things by their real names. Ordinary folks need to speak up NOW to their elected officials, the U.N., and loudly. Freedom and respect for all is the principle, not for one religion only. That’s lame-ass Islamic supremacism, not human rights, or the U.N.’s own charter and guiding principles.
As far as reality is concerned, the militant and hillbilly chunks of Islam are pretty much self-defaming. Does that mean the Islamic idiots who act up and make their religion look like a cult for retards and murderers will be charged with blasphemy? Not likely.
If this were terror-attacked buildings exploding and falling, we’d see very clearly what’s just happened. It’s that serious. ~

Marginalizing opponents as enemies of Teh State™? Good. Media control? Good. Charisma-cult/ Worship of Teh Leader? Good. Socialized medicine? Good. Special youth/ vote corps for Teh Leader? Good. On-message chattering classes? Good. Anti-white/ rich racism? Good. Anti-Christian bias? Good (except for Episcopalians, lapdogs of every fad in sight). Demonization of democratic government/ congress/ senate? Good. One-sided courts? Good. Speech-codes? Good. Wage & price ocntrols & general interference in the economy? Good. Spending America catatonic? Good? Massive crippling public debt? Good….
You can go on and on with his, simply by rehashing te past generation-and-a-half of Canadian/ EU/ Democrat Party history, and apply the endless wish-lists, lather, rinse, repeat.

The end is a socially & racially divided America, crippled by debt and economic weakness, where imaginary money is used to fund the giant pyramid scheme of social engineering and handouts, less actual freedom and democracy, in exchange for a bloated and inefficient nanny-state. Line-ups for health-care, a drop in innovation and R&D on all fronts, while– like the aging Byzantine Empire after the 1200s, you try to buy of enemies and crises, because you can’t really afford to fight them, and your war-fighting technology is no longer the best, and your President things war is bad, Mmkay?
Real business and inventiveness will die off, move elsewhere, or stagnate at home, buried under regulation, taxes, and penalties for success.
I have more faith in the American people right now than their elites, and trust they weill see through this snake-oil salesmen and his poisonous nostrums, and get America working and leading the world again, and not pandering to terrorists, appeasing evil states, and wanting to become more like Canada, or France, or something. Serious and thoughtful Republicans Democrats need to come to Canada and learn from our mistakes– past and ongoing, and turn from the old sweet siren-song of heaven on earth as dreamt by socialists and communists for the past 160 years. Such soft-fascism has already been tried in America and elsewhere, and it was ugly, and failed.

That’s why this observer rules Obama TheWorst Prez Ever™, only 3 months in. Unless he has a massive wake-up call and adjusts his ideas to reality, and learning the actual lessons of American and European history (Jonah Goldberg’s book would be good start), then America is in for a dose of economic and cultural diarrhoea. But like the craps, this too shall pass.
The only question is, how much damage will he do before he goes? ~
~ ITEM: How do Washington’s brilliant central economic planners do it?
~ IT CAN BE VILE, JUVENILE, AND NAUGHTY— but I do enjoy the laugh-out-loud South Park. Like the Simpsons, it’s libertarian-ish, but basically moral in content and intent. It bashes at sacred cows and every sort of political correctness, and cultural icons.. but always has a fairly tame ‘message’ somewhere near the end. Like the Harry Potter series, it also depicts the cultural an spiritual free-for-all in which we live, where in the name of “freedom” and adult irresponsibility, many souls drift and are lost for want of a coherent culture and moral consensus, of goodness, truth, and love.
Interestingly, their ‘political positions’ are not fixed– after one episode in favour of fetal stem-cell research[ Episode 513, “Kenny Dies“ ], a later show [ Episode 702, “Krazy Kripples“ ] featuring Christopher Reeves depicted him as a dead-fetus-sucking evil superhero who would do literally anything to regain his health.
I’m a late and incomplete convert to SP, and don’t look to it for great philosophical insight, nor am I pathetically grateful when they mention religion in a favourable light (though they are equal-opportunity blasphemers, and not mere Christian-whackers). It’s an interesting show in part because the creators of the show also riff on the 70s-80s-90s ad wider 20th century pop-culture (it’s “intended” for college-kids and adults, but’s also marketed to tween kids, with lots of DVDs & stuff available for sale). In a single episode, you’ll get plot elements echoing Star Trek, Disney, The Wizard Of Oz, Dickens, 80s music, Ricardo Montalban, and that’s just the stuff I noticed.
The current episode [ 1303, “Margaritaville“ ] brilliantly skewers the current recession, triggered by the mortgage thing, and general credit bloat. South Park then smacks the market, credit-greed, the panic, and the apocalyptic noises over “plastic cards and paper-money.” South Park goes all Biblical in response, and a pro-spending kid takes on the role of Jesus, to be sacrificed to appease the wrathful economy, and take upon himself the debts of the whole world. Pretty brilliant stuff. Then there’s the whole $90 trillion drink-mixer thing.

~ POOR OLD WARREN.. everybody else except him and his current buddies are bad, bad sinners.
He was Dave Dingwall’s man when the master of pork & entitlements was a joke even amongst his own electors; he was for Chretien when the Quebec slush-funds scandal was exposed; he was for Warman no matter what he did; he stood by Mohamed Elmasry and his SockPuppets contra Steyn & free speech; and Canada’s Special-K is now faithful unto Iggy, despite the Count’s waffles, peregrinations (and unelected status in his own party). A real Tammy Wynette, this guy.
However, when it comes to considering the actual flaws of his masters and associates, Warren has a curious finger-pointy-itis against everyone else except anyone he favours and supports. He’s like some empty Mediaeval courtier, swaying to and fro with the political tides, ever the minion, ever the apologist.
I recognize the shortcomings, blind-spots, flaws and sins of the conservative side– including myself– but I’m too much of a sinner and wreck to go about gleefully shouting j’accuse! at everyone else, because my Saviour warns that how I judge, I will be judged. That doesn’t mean (contra the permissives and soft-Christian left) that Jesus is a laissez-faire kinda Messiah, live and let live and all. He took sin seriously enough to die for it. However, if I am to help someone else, I must first make right with God and neighbour, and then tread gently on the soul-ground of another, for there but for the grace of God goes me or you or the next person; and God’s not done with me or you or the worst souls yet.
This is what Jesus warned about: spiritual illness and hypocrisy disguised as holier than thou.
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
We could take Warren’s screeds and efforts to correct or silence Shaidle more seriously if only Mr. Catsmeat was more serious about his own failings, and those of his buddies and bosses. At any point did Mr. Anti-Racism pause and think– and then say to StrormFront Warman– “Uh, Dude.. you’ve crossed a line abck there somehwere.. inciting hate may cause real hatred out there.”
Not that we know of; or to his past Liberal bosses “Let’s kill the slush and sleaze.. it’s killing the Party”? Not so much. “Hey, Socks– chill on the speech-chill: you got all the attention you wanted in the first place. Anything more looks like a little Jihad, and that’s not Canada.” Silence.
So lay off Kathy, and pray for her soul, and ask yourself why her way is so effective, if sometimes South-Parkish; and why you hang around with folks whose alleged wisdom who could far better use your sin-sniffing hypocrisy. That H-word? Jesus said it– it’s what you are if you’ve got a truckload of logs in your eye, and you’re offering to pick a speck of sawdust out of somebody else’s eye. Kathy’s soul is her Church & her God’s and her business, not yours.
Warren– sure our enemies drive us crazy sometimes; but dwelling on it (an that whole ‘public and personal attack’ thing) smacks of pride, wrath, vengeance, unforgiveness, hypocrisy, and more.

Free is good. The freebie-site PortableApps.com has a bunch of freebies. SanDisk thumb drives come with some pre-loaded, and more via their site.
Jesus saves, and so should sensible computer-users. All those documents and pictures and favourites lists and suchlike don’t take a ton of space, and thumb-drives are getting more memory and cheaper by the day. If a crash or house-fire or theft loses your data, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t have your backup safe and sound with you in a portable, super-functional thumb-drive.
