Word from a comment: “My hubby used to work in an MP’s office – a hand written and addressed letter sent through the post office has far more impact than an email. An MP will assume that a hand written letter represents the opinions of 100 people who didn’t bother to write.

Canadian Human Rights Commission, Attention: Chief Commissioner Jennifer Lynch, Q.C., Canadian Human Rights Commission

– UPDATE: You’re all forbidden by CHRC rules to contact Dr. Mohamed Elmasry, CIC Chair & National President. A tipster writes: “It is a criminal offence for anyone to threaten, intimidate or discriminate against a person who complains, gives evidence or helps with a complaint. The Canadian Human Rights Act provides for fines of up to $50,000 for threatening, intimidating or discriminating against an individual who has filed a complaint, or for hampering an investigation. The Commission can also investigate and deal with complaints of retaliation against persons who file a complaint.”

Welcome to Our Police State. Assume the position. Papers, please.

Keep it to the point, reasonable, use quotes & internet story-links. A strong 1-page letter is worth any number of rambling screeds. And do the basics like spell-checking, editing for grammar— and please don’t fire off something you (and the cause) might regret later….

    A good point. Quoted above.

  2. Maybe we can encourage the Grauniad to do a replay of that misbegotten attempt –which backfired but good– in 2004 to influence the voters of a key Ohio electoral district to vote against Dubya, drop the death penalty, free Mumia, and all the rest. .

Their minions should sent hundreds, yea thousands, of enthusiastic letters to the HRC goondas, if not immediately supporting Mr. Steyn’s ritual beheading, at least to mandate the pulping of his books and the nationalization of Mcleans.

May it be so. The truth will out.

  3. As an American, I can’t do anything I’m afraid, to help you in your fight against the Ministry of Love … er … I mean Human Rights Commission. All I can say is that I wish you well as there are many American organizations (CAIR and ADL to name two) who would love nothing better than to see something like it here.
