Remembrance Day always hits me hard, because as a young elf, I heard from my earliest days about war and family and saw abiding sorrow; as an avid young reader, trying to fathom this great mystery of evil and courage that is war; and as a priest, befriending sometimes burying vets with due honours, and taking part in yearly services and Legion events.
It’s not a past past.

~ YOU JUST HAVE TO be ready– because this is not a test. It’s life: good, bad, prepared for or not, flying at you like stuff hitting a fan.
The other day, I got an e-mail from a Western Canadian she-blogger who shall remain nameless, except that she’s evil, heartless, hated by all the usual revolting enemies, and loves her widdle smoochy-woochy doggies. About what, you ask?
It turns out that a certain noted blog-scourge & Binks-beleaguerer had called her up, to plead for advice about what to do. He’d written a bash-Canada piece 5 years ago, gone to the U.S., but now found that the interwebs were haunting him with his old views.. and that was online for his possible new employers, too.
After asking blogs to remove their posts, he escalated things, then MAD-blogger got Binks involved, and he told two friends, and they told two friends.. and the web-problem became a 5-alarm headache for said Canadian doctor & border-crosser. He’s not a lawfaring jihadi or anything such, just a guy who didn’t know how to make it right.
Said evil she-blogger said (1) stop pestering, and (2) apologize directly, and (3) do it now.
Making A Sacrifice
In that spirit, I’m proud to say that Binks, Jay Currie, Mitchieville, Walker Morrow, Blazing Catfur, Backseat Blogger, and Right Girl have all offlined their posts.. and the offender even sent along a $500.00 donation to the Blazing Catfur Legal Fund.
We all make mistakes; get into escalating things; perhaps need a fresh start and some kindness and gentlenes s with our mistakes, public or private.
It ain’t over, but it’s better. Like I said: you just neve know what’s coming up– but it’s nice to be pleasantly surprised once in a while. ~

I will review my comments in a timely manner in the next 24 hours– and remove all regarding A*** R*** (my presumed repeat-complainant/ stalker) except for the e-mail sent directly to me by A*** R*** in which he included his own e-mail address, since he directly published that himself (which implies permission to publish by any fair interpretation of the facts).
You folks really need to stop playing the unfair mother in his “Mommeee! He breathed on me!” game, which has caused me days of wasted time & irritation. Can’t you flag his name as a serial frivolous complainant or something?
